Creating a timelapse has never been easy, but now with smartphones like iPhone there's many applications for it (im using is Timelapse Pro). With a tripod stand , u can create timelapse anywhere. A DSLR needs an intervalometer or timer remote control to automate the capturing, sequencing and setting the interval between photos.
